When ordering, specify connection cable.
Connect your digital tool using the cable provided by manufacturer. We will fit the right socket into the UniDRO box during manufacturing to allow this.
Make sure your Pc software is up to date
Sometimes a manufacturer update will be needed to run the UniDRO with your specific tool. 3rd Party applications may also require an update and reboot.
Most digital tools will communicate with our UniDRO
Just connect your dig tool and then connect the UniDRO to your Pc with a USB or serial cable. Some tools will require a software update. Make sure WiFi or Bluetooth is enabled if this is your desired connection method.
Initial Set-up
Follow on screen prompts, while installing any update software. The tool will need configuring, adjust parameters as required for the specific task. Make sure on multiple use encoders you use the correct port.

What does ExcelDRO do?
ExcelDro uses a WWWidgets encoder and takes information from your digital tool straight to a Pc workstation. This information is then compiled directly into a familiar Excel format that can be used in your company’s AI database.
Why do I need ExcelDRO?
If you are not collecting information with your digital tools while they are being used (maybe they use a control system that doesn’t record info) then you have no basis for accurate quality control or an AI database.
What tools are compatable?
Any digital tool with a physical cable or even those with a Bluetooth connection can be linked via an encoder to your Pc database. From Quad encoder info to Rotary encoder info as used on industrial lathes.
What if I want different Digital tools?
We can use the same WWWidgets encoder known as a UniDRO to work with up to 5 different digital tools if you stipulate the different tools and cable connections when ordering.

What is a VizScale?
The VizScale is a new digital video ruler product made by WWWidgets Ltd. It is designed to be used for applications as diverse as print quality control to measuring the areas of organic specimens to two decimal places.
How does the VizScale work?
The VizScale works with a high-spec video camera and machined aluminium ruler, that feeds to a built-in digital screen or links to a monitor via cable or Bluetooth (ask for wireless connection options when ordering)
What is the spec of the VizScale?
The VizScale comes in two formats. The standard product is complete with a 500mm length gantry. Or the more bespoke product that allows you to purchase a longer ruler gantry up to 2000mm or even more from some third-party ruler suppliers. With standard measurements in Microns to two decimal places.
Why buy this VizScale and not other video rulers?
The VizScale offers more bespoke setups for more diverse applications. It also has many more measuring and macro options for linear measurements over longer distances as well as measuring centres and areas of organic shapes. The standard is to two decimal places but this can be increased! (please contact).
